A visit to Cannich looking for Corbetts.
Spring Bank Holiday Week, 2002.
This trip was to collect the two Corbetts that remained to be done up Glen Affric. However there was also one in Glen Strathfarrar and another in Glen Cannich to do. I was also planning on collecting a couple of others situated to the side of the road on the way up to Ullapool.
So the trip list in date order was:- Sgorr na Diollaid, Beinn a'Bha'ach Ard, Aonach Shasuinn, Carn a'Choire Ghairbh, Beinn a'Chaisteil, Beinn Liath Mhor a'Ghiubhais Li, and lastly Little Wyvis. Seven in all.

I also managed to fit in a visit to the Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill event held near Fort William. As I forgot my camera on this particular day, you will have to take my word for it, when I say that it is an event not to be missed. Book your ticket for next year.

The weather for the trip was a mixture of heat wave and cutting easterly winds, with a few drops of rain here and there. Because of the heat there were very few photos of the general hillside that made the grade. Heat haze doesn't improve the view, at least not with my small digital camera!
