A Christmas visit to the Munros above Glen Lochay in 1990
Not all Christmas days are like this....

In 1990 we stayed in a cottage near the village of Killin. The Munros of Glen Lochay were among those visited. The selection of slides presented here show what happens when a high pressure weather system sits in the right place. The nights were cold down in the valley bottoms, with clear skies above the freezing fog. I drove up to a hydro track at 350m and then walked above/along this track, slowly climbing out of the mist. The morning dawned and the camera worked overtime. Some of the slides show the lack of light, but what the heck.

The first group show my son Chris and myself on a trip over Beinn Heasgarnich, we continued on over Creag Mhor before returning via the hydro track. Unfortunately I ran out of film!!!! before I got to the latter hill, I can still remember the shots I missed.

The second group show the next days efforts, Chris had a day off, while I made the long walk out to Beinn Challum and back.
