Photographs taken in and around Beaumaris Castle in Anglesea, North Wales. This was one of a group of castles originally built by Edward 1 in his efforts to subdue the unruly Welsh. It was one of the last in a chain of mighty 0castles that surrounded the North Wales domain of the rulers of Gwynedd. It was never finished as the military campaign succeeded before completion.
